Question: Would a Hot Dog be considered as a sandwich or taco? Why is it a sandwich or a taco? I just wanna know your answers.

I think that a hotdog would be considered a taco if you had to choose between the two, but would be its own category in my eyes. Since the bun is wrapping itself around the meat, and only covering 1 side of the hotdog, I would consider it a taco. If there was another hole on the other side of the bun I would consider it a sandwich. I don’t really eat hotdogs, but this is my opinion. :)

Choosing between these 2 options I would say sandwich because the hot dog has bread on both sides. Do you understand what I mean? lol

I think it’s a sandwich because tacos have meat in the middle and the “breading” surrounding the outside. Whereas, sandwiches have bread on top and bottom, much like hotdogs when they are consumed.

I think that it would definitely be a sandwich.

In Australia, our version of a hot dog is a sausage in a folded piece of bread. A sandwich just... makes sense!
